Daniel Brugh is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy. Dan studied composition with Doy Baker and piano with Andrzej Dutkiewicz. Daniel is the recipient of the Close Award, a Bachelors of Music degree from the University of Oregon where he studied piano with Victor Steinhart and composition with Dr. Harold Owen and Dr. Derek Healey. He studies composition with Dr. Walter Saul and is the 2009/2010 OMTA composer of the year. Currently he teaches piano and music composition in Beaverton, Oregon.

Oregon Connection: I am active Cascadia Composers member and serve on its board. I have coordinated several concert such as "Pulling out the Stops", "Blackout" , "Composers at Play" and "In Good Hands" where local composers come together and performer their music. I grew up in Oregon and I a deeply induced by Oregon composers like Tomas Svoboda, Jack Gabel, Jeff Winslow , David Bernstein and Jan Mittelstaedt.
