
Alexander Johnson graduated from Lawrence University in 2012 with a B.Mus in theory and composition with an emphasis in jazz. He enjoys composing for a wide variety of musical ensembles and styles, including instrumental and vocal jazz, chamber ensembles, choral ensembles, symphony orchestras, chamber orchestras, and soloists.
Aside from being a composer, Alex is an active choral singer, currently a member of the University of Oregon Chamber Choir and Vox Resonat, a Eugene-based early music vocal ensemble. A game of golf occasionally takes place as well.

Oregon Connection: Alex resided in Eugene where he pursued a masters degree in composition at the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance. He now lives in Austin, Texas.
